New Blog Title?!

Hey thinking of changing my Blog's Title. I mentioned this in one of my latest post. Still doing cards...but now my inspirations have encasted other crafty things, quilting, fabric crafts, and not to mention decorations in my home.

So for a new title...I have set to pondering.

My latest quilt ~ Dr. Seuss

Here is my daughter's Dr. Seuss Quilt that I have been working on for a while. The pattern is by Atkinson Designs, titled "All about Me". This is a picture of it laid out. I am now in the process of sewing the blocks into rows. I am so glad I took this picture! I have refered to it so many times to make sure I am putting it together as I have it laid out.

This was supposed to be one of her Christmas present. It looks like it will be an "I love you" present. Not to mention it's going to be too warm to to use very shortly here in Virginia. But it will look really cute on her bed!

It's been a while!

Hello all,
I have been absent from my blog for a few years now! It's hard to believe that 3 years have gone by and my children have graduated homeschool High School. To any other homeschoolers that stumble across this blog...you can do it! Just a bit of info on them and then I will move on to cards and paper crafts.

Both of my children recieved higher than a 1500 on their SATs. My son has had an interview with the Air Force ROTC, which was one of 13 spots for the high school scholarship program they have. My daughter is looking at community college then finishing her degree at a 4 year school so that she can teach Biology. She wants to futher God's Kingdom by teaching. Amazing!

I have a lot to show since I last posted. When can I get to it? Good question! Not quite sure.

My husband and I finished our office and I have over half the room for my crafts and sewing. He's so good to me! I will have to take some pictures and post them so you can get an idea of my Craft Room. I am still in the process of organizing and arranging how I want things to look so it might be some time before I am actually creating again. Although I have gotten into quilting with a friend of mine and have several quilts in the fire, so to speak. So you may see more than ink flying around here...stray fabric has also entered into my life.

I wonder if I should change my blog title, then?? Now that I am quilting and card/paper crafting. Will see what comes of that.

Bye for now.

UPDATE!!!

Hi everyone,
Sorry I have not been around in a while. Have been keeping with making cards though....and some other projects too. I have pics just have not posted them. Hopefully that will come soon.

Some have asked lately if I am going to post instructions for my Black ink pad/ribbon holder. Well, I do want to but with schooling two in 9Th grade and other things going on. I just have not been able to work on anything like that. So for those of you that can see the original and image putting shelves in it is not hard. All I did was take left over pieces of foam board measured out for shelves and then notched them and the dividers from the back so that they slid in to each other. If you are having a hard seeing this. I will try to work on instructions soon. But I can not guarantee anything.

Thanks for looking at my stuff and I will hopefully keep in touch with you better as the spring progresses.
Blessings~Melanie

Garden Card

Here is another card that I have done. This acutally came from Stampin' Up! in one of their retired Simply sent card kits. I just love the layout and the look of this card that I have made many versions of it.
*Sorry for the blurry pic...I will have to do something with my camera!*
Enjoy~Melanie

New Valentine cards!

This is a spinner card that I cased from Splitcoast. I just fell in love with it. And I had borrowed the Unfrogettable from my Demo and had to make the card. So a couple of sheets of paper and an hour later here we go.

This was a tough card for me to pull together for some reason. But when I finally got it done it was so simple and easy. Just took my brain a bit to organize it all.

This one came from a inspiration sheet for Heartfelt. And just changed the colors for V-Day. I really like how it came out.

I am in the process of selling my cards at a local Jewery store and so I made some Valentine Cards for her to have in the mean time. I have not gotten any other cards to her yet but am working on making some stock for her to have. If you are ever in Aylett, VA stop by Romancing the Stone and chech out my cards.

So here are my Valentine cards for this year. I hope that you enjoy looking at them as much as I did in making them. Probably not but I do hope that you like them.

Other Cards

Here are two of my cards. These were actually made for Christmas presents. I made several other cards also. There were 15 total and then I packaged them together in a Card organizer that I found on SplitcoastStampers.

Enjoy!!! Blessings~Melanie
